The Name
Telos is an ancient Greek word meaning purpose or ultimate goal.
Every organization has one — the reason it exists, the thing it is ultimately trying to achieve. And every organization relies on people to reach it. Telos HR Consulting exists to make sure the systems, practices, and decisions that shape your people’s experience are pointed at that same goal.
That is the whole idea: align your people strategy with your purpose, and the rest of the work — compensation, compliance, performance, growth — flows naturally from there.
Founder & CEO
After more than 20 years working within and leading HR teams, Emily noticed that growing organizations were experiencing an expanded need for HR support. This increasing need was taxing under-equipped teams, and leaders were being asked to do more with fewer staff and resources.
Emily started Telos to help businesses and nonprofits achieve their organizational goals through their people — an opportunity that is so often missed or treated as an afterthought. She founded Telos HR Consulting to offer organizations fractional HR support that fills the gap between growing needs and limited internal capacity: strategic, tactical, and flexible support, with impactful, right-sized solutions tailored to each organization’s specific need.
Together, the Telos team has added significant value across various industries and different vertical markets, with right-sized solutions for businesses and nonprofits alike.
